If I could break your mind
I’d leave a note that said you were like
A song that I must struggle not to sing
A poem that I must never read aloud
But those are not hiding the way I feel

Can’t decide what I should do
I don’t like always running hot and cold
I feel afraid of getting too involved
And probably causing greater pain
